Job description

Plaid is seeking a Fractional Copywriting creative to join our Brand team. As a core member of our in-house creative agency, you will be responsible for brainstorming concepts with the design, product, and marketing teams and developing original web, digital, social, events and integrated campaigns. We are looking for a strong communicator who can express ideas clearly not just on the page (or screen), but also in presentations, brainstorm sessions, and pitches. Here, you will be instrumental in both creating copy that drives action and emotion and developing how the Plaid story is told.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • 6+ years experience
  • Skilled storyteller and trend setter with an eye for detail and perfect grammar.
  • Ability to adjust brand voice and tone based on audience.
  • Experience writing display, social (organic and paid), email, event, and other digital performance marketing channels
  • Experience writing short-form, long-form, conceptual campaigns
  • Experience with events and experiential marketing concept and campaign development
  • Ability to apply critical and conceptual thinking to brand and marketing strategies to develop standout creative and content experiences.
  • Comfortable creating and iterating on copy that will be used in A/B product testing or performance based marketing tests.
  • Experience creating content for social campaigns across all major social platforms.
  • Experience working with agile teams, including quick adaptation and iteration
  • Experience collaborating with external creative agencies and freelancers.
  • Expert multi-tasking and time management
  • Sense of urgency – you want to go, move, make things happen, and shake things up
  • Ability to understand technical content and quickly learn new material
  • Experience in financial services and/or B2B marketing is a plus, if coming from a B2B background, experience with B2C also a plus
