You can control what shows up on your shelf, and see when people you know are watching, reading or listening to the same thing. And it's built on top of infrastructure that allows you to reclaim control over your consumption and interest data, and provision third-party access to it to personalize experiences without compromising your privacy.

About the Work
As Fractional Social & Community Growth Lead, your goal is to establish a presence and marketing machine that can reach millions of users via socials and word-of-mouth.
This is a fractional role for 20 hrs / week to start, with the opportunity to join the team full-time at some point in the future.
Specifically, you'll:
- Lead growth initiative ideation and execution, including social media and influencer marketing strategy.
- Content creation for social media channels — ideally that includes being on camera and having a distinct online persona (hopefully we can make you Shelf-famous!); if you have a strong network and experience working with creators in a scrappy environment that works too
- Content experimentation to isolate Shelf’s tone of voice and POV — providing product feedback based on social media learnings/observations.
- Identify, initiate and cultivate relationships with creators and artists, coordinating collaborations and ensuring brand messaging alignment.
- Hands-on work seeding Shelf in existing communities online and offline.
- Organize and take part in brainstorming sessions to generate fresh ideas to elevate Shelf’s positioning.
- Work closely with our CEO
About You
You're likely a good fit if the following describes you:
- Important: You should be open to the idea of converting to a full-time role and moving to NYC for the role
- You've previously scaled a consumer app or game. Your portfolio and background should clearly show this.
- You’ve been a creator: You should have provable experience being a video creator. You’re comfortable on camera, have developed an online persona or brand (either for yourself or another brand), you’re speedy with editing and understand the ins-and-outs of social media platforms. If you haven’t been a creator yourself, then you should have deep experience working with creators.
- You’re on top of internet culture: You know what’s in, and what’s not. You have your finger on the pulse
- You love building relationships: You’ll be the first creator partnerships person on our team
- Want to work hard: This isn’t a ‘big company’ job and we put our heart into our work. You understand that building great companies takes a lot of work, and also know that seed-stage companies can offer some of the most challenging, invigorating, and rewarding experiences
