Job Title: Fractional Head of Marketing / Growth Strategist

Location: Remote (NY/LA preferred)

Commitment: Fractional (15–25 hours/week, flexible)

We're a fast-growing CPG brand sold at top retailers like Bluemercury, Ulta, Dermstore, Free People, Revolve/FWRD and loved by editors, influencers, athletes and our community alike. As we scale, we’re seeking a strategic, creative, and performance-minded Fractional Head of Marketing / Growth Strategist to lead and unify all our marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and own the marketing and growth strategy across DTC, Retail, Amazon, TikTok Shop, and affiliate.
  • Define and track key KPIs: CAC, LTV , ROAS, retention, conversion, and influencer/affiliate performance and report to broader team on monthly team meeting.
  • Translate brand vision into an actionable marketing roadmap that balances short-term revenue growth with long-term brand building.
  • Optimize digital acquisition and retention strategies, including paid social, search, and affiliate marketing.
  • Collaborate with co-founders on brand evolution, positioning, and upcoming product launches.

Team & Project Management:

  • Manage day-to-day workflow of internal and freelance team members (Lexi, Lee, and others).
  • Coordinate with paid, lifecycle, influencer, creative, and affiliate partners to ensure unified execution.
  • Create clear goals, workflows, and reporting structures.
  • Partner closely with the sales team to drive velocity and ensure marketing efforts translate into retailer success metrics.

Paid & Performance Marketing:

  • Guide media strategy across Meta, Google, and TikTok.
  • Partner with media buyers to optimize budget and creative testing.
  • Translate performance insights into briefs for ads and content.

Email & SMS (Lifecycle):

  • Oversee email/SMS strategy including segmentation, flows, and campaign calendar.
  • Increase retention and repeat purchase behavior through lifecycle optimization.
  • Use tools like Klaviyo to test and iterate.

Affiliate & Influencer Growth:

  • Scale affiliate program via ShopMy, LTK, and TikTok creators.
  • Build ongoing influencer relationships that drive performance + UGC.
    Monitor and report affiliate ROI, gifting success, and content impact.

Retail & Wholesale Support:

  • Partner with sales team on retail rollouts (e.g. Bluemercury, Ulta, Free People).
  • Support omni-channel campaigns tied to retail moments and co-marketing.
  • Build toolkits and digital assets to drive in-store velocity.

Brand & Creative Direction:

  • Oversee creative consistency across channels — email, ads, packaging, site.
  • Collaborate with Art Director and UGC team to build compelling, performance-driven brand content.
  • Support visual storytelling for launches, partnerships, and brand campaigns.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Build dashboards across Shopify, GA4, paid channels, and affiliate platforms.
  • Own growth reporting: weekly recaps, monthly analysis, quarterly reviews.
  • Leverage insights to guide optimization across all marketing functions.

Website & Conversion

  • Support CRO testing, PDP updates, landing pages, and mobile optimization.
  • Coordinate with dev/design team on key site refreshes and seasonal updates.
  • Track site behavior via Hotjar or similar tools.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure marketing spend aligns with ROI, cash flow, and business profitability targets.
  • Own marketing budget, channel forecasting, and performance-based adjustments.

What We're Looking For

  • 8–10+ years of experience in DTC + omnichannel CPG/beauty/wellness marketing.
  • Proven track record scaling brand(s) from early-stage to $1M + $5M+ in revenue with tight budgets.
  • Expertise in Meta Ads, Klaviyo, Shopify, affiliate (ShopMy) platforms, and marketing analytics.
  • Strong team leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Hands-on operator who can both set strategy and execute quickly.
