About Us
We're a leading VC firm in B2C consumer apps, looking to help a portfolio company building a childhood education product to help every child read. They've raised $15MM from some of the world's leading investors and are growing rapidly, driving real positive impact for kids.
About the Work
You'll be advising the startup on their PR strategy and execution, helping them grow brand awareness and organic results by breaking into the public consciousness. This is an advisory role, although some hands-on execution work may be required too.
Ideally, the candidates would be open to a model that starts with hourly consults, then can evolve into a monthly retainer type of advisor role if there's a mutual fit.
Budget of $150 - $300+ / hr (depending on the candidate).
About You
We're looking for a PR expert who has:
- Many years of relevant PR experience in the B2C tech space, ideally in education and/or targeting kids/parents
- Gotten these companies featured in everywhere from major publications to podcasts and local events
- Experience in-house, helping us not only work with and evaluate PR firms but manage efforts internally as well
- Relationships with relevant partners in the space
- Worked with early stage companies and helped them go from 1-100
- You should be working independently, i.e. we are not interested in hiring a PR firm for this.
We're also looking to bring on a Social Media Expert Advisor for the same ed-tech startup. If you're well-qualified for both roles, please request intros for both roles and let us know that you're qualified for both.
