The Company
We're an insurtech startup that makes consumer insurance faster and simpler to buy. We sell mostly through DTC.
Stage & proof points:
- Tens of thousands of customers
- Hundreds of employees
- Entering a major growth phase
The Work
We have a unique story to tell, particularly around thought leadership in insurance and AI. We're looking for a Fractional Head of Communications to develop this strategy for us.
Specifically, you'll:
- Set our comms strategy and execute it
- Work closely with our CEO and CTO (our co-founders) to turn their POV into stories, articles, and videos
- Also improve how our co-founders show up on social media
- Spot the industry conversations we can lead, like AI in insurance
- Pitch reporters in tech, business, and the relevant trade press
- Work most closely with our CMO, marketing lead, and our copywriter
About You
You MUST have:
- Led communications and PR for other vc-backed tech companies
- Significant comms work for products in highly complex domains
- fintech, insurtech, AI, crypto, cybersecurity, dev tools, healthtech are all good examples
- Thought leadership expertise specifically, shaping a company’s expertise into a clear POV that stands out in its industry
- Helped build executives' or founders' presence on social media
- Based in the USA only, or Canada if your experience is with U.S.-based companies
Nice-to-haves:
- Insurance industry or banking industry experience
- Pitched trade press in industries like mortgage or home security
