About Us
We're a communications platform that gives small and medium-sized businesses a single solution for voice, SMS, virtual fax, scheduling, and more. We go to market primarily through our large network of MSP and IT channel partners, who refer their clients to us.
We've been in business for 20+ years, with thousands of clients, and doing 7-figures annual revenue.
About the Work
Over the years we've tried many different approaches to marketing, but still haven't figured out an effective way to generate leads from it. We're looking for a Fractional Marketing Leader who can come in with a proven playbook for B2B SaaS companies that sell through channel partners, and actually execute it.
Specifically, you'll:
- Grow the quantity of MSP and IT channel partners in our network and increase the average revenue we generate per partner
- Oversee a small offshore marketing team (graphic designer, SEO specialist, copywriter) and a $5K/month marketing budget
- Build out the marketing assets, materials, and campaigns that support our three-person sales team
- Develop a partner nurture strategy to keep our existing 200+ partners engaged and referring business
- Identify the highest-potential verticals for direct-to-SMB marketing and develop targeted experiments for those segments. Top-of-mind for us are:
- Veterinary
- Real estate
- Healthcare
- Legal
- Improve our messaging, positioning, and website so we get better results when going head-to-head with competitors
- Build the analytics and reporting infrastructure needed to measure what's working
- Work most closely with our CEO
We're expecting this engagement to start closer to 20 hrs per week for a few months, and then taper down to 10 hrs per week once you've ramped up and got the system working.
About You
You MUST have:
- Been a marketing leader (Director-level and above) for other B2B SaaS companies in the $1MM - $25MM range
- Deep channel marketing expertise - you should have plenty of experience turning channels and partners into lead gen engines
- Even better if you've identified and launched new channels from scratch
- Experience supporting sales teams with the relevant marketing assets
- Worked extensively with small budgets, in the $5K / month range
- Based anywhere in the world, but you must have experience with US-based companies
Nice-to-haves:
- Significant knowledge of the MSP and IT shop ecosystem
- Experience marketing to SMB verticals like the ones listed above
