We’ve built a loyal following through our curated DTC, Farmhouse Delivery offerings—locally sourced produce, sustainable meats, chef-prepared meals, and pantry staples—delivered weekly. Now, we’re expanding beyond digital into brick-and-mortar retail, creating a new channel with concentration on our Farmhouse Kitchen private label to grow the Farmhouse brand and serve our community.

We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Fractional CMO to join our executive team and own the growth strategy across all customer touchpoints—online and offline in Austin, TX.

Position Overview

As Fractional CMO, you will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of marketing at Farmhouse Delivery. You’ll be accountable for increasing DTC revenue, supporting the launch of new retail storefront prototypes, and building a cohesive brand experience across all touchpoints. This is a leadership role, but also requires you to roll up your sleeves and work closely with a lean, agile and experienced team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Growth Strategy & Revenue Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy to increase DTC revenue through improved customer acquisition, conversion, retention, and reactivation.
  • Define key KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics to drive and measure growth.
  • Identify and test new revenue channels (subscription, loyalty programs, partnerships, etc.)
2. Retail Launch & Omni-Channel Strategy
  • Lead go-to-market strategy for the first Farmhouse Delivery retail storefront—from positioning and messaging to marketing activation and local engagement.
  • Craft a cohesive omni-channel experience between e-commerce and physical retail touchpoints.
  • Coordinate launch campaigns and seasonal promotions that drive in-store traffic and brand engagement.
3. Brand Management & Messaging
  • Own and evolve brand positioning, voice, and visual identity across all platforms and campaigns.
  • Ensure consistency across website, packaging, retail signage, email, paid media, and social.
  • Champion storytelling that communicates our local food mission and deepens customer loyalty.
4. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Manage and mentor a small internal marketing team including e-commerce, paid search, social media, and PR.
  • Partner with Ops, Culinary, and Tech teams to align brand and growth efforts with product and fulfillment.
  • Serve as an executive partner to the CEO, contributing to broader company vision and roadmap.

Requirements

Experience & Expertise
  • 10+ years in marketing leadership with a focus on DTC growth and brand building
  • Background in food, grocery, or CPG, with both e-commerce and retail experience.
  • You've got leadership experience at Whole Foods, Sprouts, Trader Joe's, HEB, Kroger, Randall's, Walmart, or similar OR you can tell us why you're ready to lead the charge in the Austin retail market even though you haven't worked at one of those brands.
  • Proven ability to drive revenue through acquisition, retention, and reactivation
  • Demonstrated success launching new brands, products, or retail concepts, including positioning and local marketing
  • Hands-on with tools like Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Ads, Meta, and analytics dashboards
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Experience leading lean teams and managing external partners
  • Effective cross-functional partner to ops, culinary, and tech teams
  • Works closely with CEO on company-wide strategic initiatives
