Fractional VP of Marketing
Location: United States or Canada
Reporting to: Co-Founder & Chief Brand Officer, Jayme Jenkins
Type: Fractional ~ 10 hours/week to start, with the opportunity to move into a full-time position
About Everist
Everist is redefining the future of hair and body care with concentrated, high-performance formulations and a strong commitment to sustainability. We are a brand built on innovation, storytelling, and community and we’re entering our next phase of growth.
We’re looking for a fractional VP of Marketing to help guide our growing team into the next chapter.
The Role
This is a senior leadership role focused on providing strategic marketing guidance and oversight across Everist’s brand and growth initiatives. Working closely with the founders and marketing team, you will help bring structure, clarity, and performance rigor to our marketing engine while supporting the team in executing against key priorities.
This role will enable the founder to step out of more day-to-day marketing management and focus on broader strategic and external initiatives.
You are both brand-obsessed and data-driven. You understand beauty (bonus points for haircare), and you know how to build emotional connection while keeping a close eye on measurable growth.
What You’ll Oversee
Brand & Storytelling
- Guide the execution and evolution of Everist’s “Beauty, Undiluted” brand positioning, voice, and creative direction.
- Provide strategic oversight to ensure brand consistency and cultural relevance across all marketing touchpoints.
- Support the development of integrated campaign strategies from concept through launch.
- Help translate product innovation into compelling consumer storytelling and activations.
- Liaise with external partners including PR teams and agencies to ensure alignment with brand strategy.
- Advise on marketing readiness for future retail expansion, including launch planning and budget frameworks.
Performance & Growth
- Provide strategic oversight across full-funnel marketing initiatives spanning paid, owned, and earned channels.
- Guide performance marketing strategy across key platforms including Meta and TikTok.
- Help establish KPI frameworks across awareness, engagement, ROAS, CAC, LTV, and retention.
- Support the development of reporting dashboards and performance review rhythms to drive optimization.
Social, Influencer & Community
- Advise on creator-led and TikTok-first growth opportunities.
- Support the evolution of influencer and ambassador programs with a performance-oriented lens.
- Guide the broader organic social strategy to strengthen brand affinity while supporting conversion.
- Provide perspective on emerging cultural, platform, and creator trends relevant to Everist.
Commerce & Channel Strategy
- Partner with internal teams to align marketing initiatives with eCommerce growth priorities.
- Provide strategic input on retail and channel marketing initiatives.
- Help ensure cohesive storytelling across DTC, social commerce, and retail environments.
Team & Operational Leadership
- Mentor and support the internal marketing team, helping develop capabilities and priorities.
- Introduce scalable marketing processes, planning frameworks, and operating rhythms.
- Provide strategic input on marketing budget allocation and investment priorities.
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Leadership to align marketing efforts with broader company goals.
Who You Are
- 8–10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, ideally within beauty or CPG (haircare strongly preferred).
- Proven experience balancing brand building and performance marketing.
- Deep expertise in TikTok, influencer marketing, Meta ads, and social commerce.
- Supported retail expansions into partners such as Sephora or Ulta
- Strong understanding of storytelling, creative strategy, and content development.
- Highly analytical: you are comfortable owning budgets and making data-informed decisions.
- Experienced building and managing teams.
- Structured, organized, and execution-focused: you bring operational clarity.
- Entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
