Procright is the AI analyst for enterprise procurement. We run the four jobs behind every major purchase, define, find, compare, and decide, end to end on a single record. We are bringing on a procurement leader, fractional and embedded with us, who has run complex buys, can point the product at the real pain, and can open the right doors as we expand into the US and EU.

Why this role exists

Every major purchase (a CRM platform, a fleet of in-store screens, a year of medical devices, a raw-material contract, a security-camera rollout) runs through the same four jobs: define what you need, find who can supply it, compare the options, and defend the decision. Done the usual way, that means weeks of back and forth, hand-built spreadsheets, suppliers who answer in five different formats, and an audit months later that nobody can answer cleanly. Procright runs all four jobs end to end on a single record.

We are learning fast from real buyers, and the reality is messier than any pitch. The spec often lives with engineering, IT, or health-and-safety, while procurement owns the price, the compliance, and the supplier risk. Suppliers say yes to everything, and sometimes write the spec themselves. We want a procurement leader in the building who knows exactly how this works, keeps us honest, and gets us into the right rooms.

This is not a sales job. Our founders run sales. You are the procurement voice, and you make warm introductions you would stand behind.

What you will do

  • Point us at the real pain: where the product is right, where it is naive, and which category and persona to win first. Procurement, engineering, and IT do not feel the same pain, and you know the difference.
  • Bring the messy reality: suppliers who say yes to everything, compliance declarations chased by phone, the price that has to be exactly right, the IT team that can hold an approval for six months.
  • Open warm doors: introduce us to procurement, engineering, and IT leaders in your network who would make sharp design partners. You make the intro, our founders take the call.
  • Shape the story: help us describe Procright the way a procurement leader actually would, not the way a vendor would.

Who you are

  • You have led procurement, sourcing, or category management at a US or EU mid-market or enterprise company (CPO, VP or Director of Procurement, Head of Sourcing, or similar).
  • You have owned complex, high-stakes buys across categories (capital equipment, technical hardware, services, raw materials, not just software) and felt every part of the cycle: the spec nobody agrees on, the vendor chase, the comparison built by hand, the compliance paperwork, the audit that lands months later.
  • You have a real network of procurement, engineering, and IT peers, and you will make introductions you believe in.
  • You are curious about AI and want a hand in shaping where it lands in your profession.

How it works

  • Fractional and ongoing: a few days a month (a working session with the founders, a handful of introductions, the occasional discovery call).
  • Paid as a fractional engagement (monthly retainer or day rate), with optional equity.
  • Remote, US and EU.
  • A real seat in shaping a category-defining product early, with a direct line to the founders.
