About Us
We help AI labs and other organizations access and curate large-scale data sets for training foundational and specialized AI models, and have some of the top AI companies in the world as customers.
Last year we did ~$20MM revenue, and this year we're expecting to 5x that. We currently have 30 employees and expect to have at least 45 by the end of the year.
About the Work
We are struggling to hire quickly and effectively because our team is stretched too thin to manage recruiting well. We're looking for a Fractional Head of Talent Acquisition to own and improve our entire recruitment process, especially for highly technical roles.
Specifically, you'll:
- Lead recruiting efforts for the following function areas
- Data engineering
- Web scraping
- Network infrastructure
- GTM (lower priority)
- Product (lower priority)
- Own the hiring pipeline end-to-end
- Gather needs from the HMs, write job descriptions, and distribute them to our network of recruiting partners
- Manage the candidate pipeline in our ATS (Ashby)
- Review resumes, conduct first-round screens, and pass qualified candidates to HMs
- Significantly improve our candidate experience, including feedback gathering, followup timing, and more
- Act as the main point of contact between our HMs and our network of external recruiting partners
- Design a better interview process, one that takes into account how our past hires have performed
- Build and refine our employer profile and recruiting collateral with the design team
About You
You MUST have:
- Led the technical recruitment function for other high-growth tech startups
- Hired for highly technical roles in AI, ML, data, networking infrastructure, web scraping, and other high-tech or deep-tech functions
- Filled technical roles with highly autonomous, senior folks that can own an entire area AND do the execution work
- We're not hiring for dozens of line engineers, we're looking for highly specialized craftspeople
- Plenty of prior candidate experience design and interview design work
- Interested in being hands-on, writing JDs, gathering feedback and working with busy HMs

- Maintains an active network of high-performing technical talent beyond standard LinkedIn sourcing
- Employer branding experience
