About Us
We're an outpatient mental health group practice offering psychotherapy across both in-person and virtual settings. Our clinical team specializes in psychodynamic therapy - a relational, depth-oriented approach to mental health care.
We have a team of 20+ therapists and are approaching $2M in annual revenue.
About the Work
Our owner is looking to step out of the business' day-to-day operations. We're looking for a Fractional Head of Operations to oversee the leadership team, drive accountability, and improve profitability of our practice.
Specifically, you'll:
- Oversee and manage the leadership team (all clinicians), who will report directly to you
- You'll bring the business and operational acumen that the team needs to thrive
- Own our P&L, with a specific focus on improving profitability
- Hold clinicians accountable to their KPIs, including session volume, client retention, and cancellation rates
- Improve our intake conversion rates in partnership with our marketing efforts
- Improve the hiring process for licensed therapists to reduce lag time and keep offices fully utilized
- Serve as the escalation point for fires, and find solutions to problems that the rest of the leadership team surfaces
About You
You MUST have:
- Led Operations for other outpatient group practices, specifically mental health practices
- Directly managed teams of clinicians
- Improved profitability for other clinics
- You should deeply understand how insurance, billing, utilization, etc. impact the bottom line
- Exposure to managing a clinician hiring pipeline
- Experience establishing, owning, and measuring KPIs like session volume, patient retention, utilization, intake conversion, etc.
- A leadership style that is credible and direct, but sensitive to clinician culture
Nice-to-haves:
- A former clinician yourself
- Familiarity with psychodynamic or other relational therapy models (vs. ones like CBT)
