Who We Are
We created Lucem Health with Mayo Clinic in 2021 to make clinical AI useful and effective in the real world so it can fulfill its immense potential to help transform healthcare. Our vision is a world in which clinicians detect problems before they become life threatening and patients get world class care, everywhere. Our mission is to revolutionize care delivery through the practical application of clinical AI.
After a long journey of discovery, we are now focused on helping healthcare providers deliver more proactive care using a unique approach to early disease detection that is easy to implement and does not require clinicians to change how they practice medicine. Given that providers have been struggling financially for some years now, we have also developed an innovative business model in which we partner with life sciences companies (pharma/med device) to fund deployment of our early disease detection at providers.
In effect, our business is now about aligning provider and life sciences incentives to deliver better, more proactive care that changes, and even saves, patient lives.

Role summary
We are assembling a Health System Operations advisory board of uncompromising leaders who set a new standard for care delivery. As an Executive Advisor, Health System Operations, you will sit on this board, providing strategic guidance and real-world operational insights to shape Lucem Health’s commercial and product strategies.
Drawing on your current leadership experience within an Integrated Delivery Network (IDN), Academic Medical Center (AMC), or community health system, you will ensure our clinical AI solutions align seamlessly with the operational, financial, and clinical realities of today’s healthcare providers. You are a seasoned executive who knows how to navigate complex provider environments, and you will serve as a high-impact sounding board and strategic partner to our leadership team.
This is a part-time advisory role requiring approximately 3–5 hours per month, designed for a senior leader who can deliver focused, high-value guidance with meaningful strategic impact.

Strategic Guidance and Market Insights
- Operational reality check: Advise the executive team on the daily realities of health system operations, including staffing constraints, throughput, service line growth, and the continuous shift toward value-based care.
- Go-to-market validation: Stress-test commercial strategies, business cases, and value propositions to guarantee they resonate with C-suite decision-makers and value analysis committees at large AMCs and IDNs.

Product and Operational Alignment
- Workflow integration: Partner with Product and Commercial teams to validate that our early disease detection programs fit naturally into existing clinical workflows without adding friction for providers.
- Pilot optimization: Review pilot constructs and implementation playbooks, identifying operational blind spots, IT/EHR integration hurdles, and governance roadblocks before they happen.
- Conversion architecture: Help the Lucem team design high-conviction pilot programs that compel health systems to confidently transition to durable, multi-year production agreements.
Advisory Leadership and Advocacy
- Board participation: Actively participate in Health System Operations advisory board meetings, offering candid, evidence-driven insights alongside other industry leaders.
- Executive sounding board: Serve as a strategic resource for the CCO and broader leadership team on navigating complex provider purchasing, IT architecture reviews, and security/privacy diligence.
- Network amplification: Champion Lucem Health’s vision within your professional network, shaping the broader industry narrative around the practical, frictionless application of clinical AI.

Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive executive leadership experience in health system operations, strategy, or administration.

- Deep understanding of provider economics, clinical operations, EHR integration requirements (Epic/Oracle), and the complexities of health system procurement and compliance (HIPAA, BAAs).
- Proven track record of evaluating, championing, and scaling innovative healthcare technologies (specifically AI, data-driven services, or early-disease detection) within a complex provider setting.
