Why this company exists

Fear is a tax on potential. It suppresses talent, agency, and happiness. It causes people to play smaller than they're capable of. Fear of failure. Fear of people's opinions. Fear of rejection. Fear of the unknown. Fear of success. They're all a tax on potential, both individually and collectively.

Fear stops ideas from being shared.

It leads to sub-optimal decision making.

It prevents businesses from being started.

It stops important conversations from being had.

DailyCourage's mission is to remove fear as a barrier to human potential. The company sits at the intersection of content, community and courage; all enhanced by AI.

What AA is to addiction recovery. What Toastmasters is to public speaking. What CrossFit is to fitness, DailyCourage is to courage: a mission-driven, community-based category-defining brand and ecosystem business, with the potential to positively impact 1B+ lives.

The vision of DailyCourage is world's #1 ecosystem of products, services, and experiences all dedicated to helping people live life fully, by systematically building courage.

Why this role exists

I'm a visionary founder in the EOS sense, and I derive energy from ideating and galvanizing. I have ADHD. The way this shows up in the company: I generate ten good ideas a week and operationalize one. I'm looking for the operator who turns the other nine into systems, projects, and decisions; and who derives genuine energy from doing it.

I'm building a founder-led brand (e.g. DaveRamsey, Simon Squibb, Alex Hormozi) and want to spend 80% of my workday, learning, creating and serving.

More specifically, this means:

Learning: reading books/newsletters/tutorials, learning new technologies, researching customer pain-points, etc.

Creating: creating content, new workshops/courses, new products (e.g. DailyCourage mobile app aka Duolingo for courage)

Serving: providing value by giving keynote speeches, podcast appearances, facilitating workshops, etc.

What drains me, and what I'm currently the bottleneck on: turning ideas into systems, standing up tools, and converting "we should do that" into "here's how it ships by Friday."

How I work with people: the 4Fs

Every great working relationship, whether business, romantic, friendship — has been built on the same formula:

(Further + Faster + Funner) − Friction

  • Further: together we get more done than I would alone
  • Faster: progress accelerates. We don't slow down to re-explain, re-correct, re-align
  • Funner: we genuinely enjoy talking with and working with each other. No robots with no personality
  • Friction: reduced to a minimum through clearly stated assumptions, shared context, and aligned interests. Heavy upfront onboarding pays dividends down the road.

A note on style: I'm direct and high-energy. ENTJ. Feedback moves fast and candid, but clear and actionable. If that wavelength doesn't match yours, the math won't add up for either of us.

What you'll do

  • Take the time to understand the opportunity, the business, and me.
  • Build systems around me that leverage my Zone of Genius and route everything else around me. This is huge.
  • Be my thought partner. Help me take big-picture ideas and break them into prioritized, practical tasks
  • Push back on my time estimates and over-commitments (I will over-commit; protect me from myself)
  • Run weekly 60–90 minute planning sessions. Help me plan the work, then work the plan
  • Lead projects start to finish: assertive ownership, not pass-through coordination
  • Live happily in Airtable, Notion, Asana, Claude, etc. Get hands dirty in the tools so I don't have to.
  • Proactively flag roadblocks, dependencies, and process improvements before I see them
  • Source and manage contractors (designers, editors, developers, app builders)
  • Translate ideas into briefs, scopes, and timelines
  • Share relevant recommendations from your network and reference set: service providers, books, podcasts, events, that increase our odds of success

Who you are

Mission match. You have a personal connection to the vision and mission. This isn't a regular company. If the mission doesn't resonate honestly, please don't apply.

Operating background. You've been the operator behind a founder — Fractional COO, Integrator, Chief of Staff, Head of Ops, Project Manager; or you've run an early-stage company yourself. Preferably EOS-fluent. We're building this as an AI-native EOS company.

Cognitive horsepower. You're a strong thinker. You read situations fast, hold complexity, and bring back plans instead of lists of questions. This is the price of entry.

Curious. Initiated. Hungry. You ask questions I haven't thought of. You connect dots between conversations. You take initiative without being asked. You look at one part of the business and notice what it teaches you about another.

Systems thinker. You see the company as a set of interlocking systems and you enjoy designing them. Process work energizes you; it doesn't grind you down. You think in flows, not tasks.

AI-fluent. You use AI daily in your work and aren't intimidated by learning new technologies.

What this is, and what it isn't

Is: A contract role with a founder who's done the early customer work, has live demand, and is ready to compound. Base compensation plus performance bonuses tied to outcomes we'll define together. A possible co-founder conversation later if we work well together — but only if.

Isn't: A content production gig, a coaching role, or "co-founder" being floated as a substitute for cash.

Logistics

  • Location: San Francisco strongly preferred. Open to other West Coast based locations. Quarterly or Monthly IRL white-boarding sessions are important.
  • Hours: Heavy up-front for immersion, then adjusted as needed with systems in place, obviously there's potential to expand as it makes sense.
  • Compensation: negotiable
