About The Job

We are looking for a seasoned technology leader to join us as a Fractional CTO. In this role, you will act as a strategic partner and force multiplier for our current CTO. You will be a high-level collaborator, working alongside him to navigate the complexities of launching a new product. Your role is to provide the strategic oversight that comes from years of experience, empowering our team to build with greater confidence and predictability, especially as we balance R&D with product deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with our CTO as a strategic peer on technology strategy, architecture, and high-level decision-making.
• Advise the leadership team on scoping and estimation to build more reliable roadmaps in an environment with technical unknowns.
• Help us strike the right balance between innovative AI exploration and the disciplined execution needed to ship a reliable product.
• Strengthen our development and QA processes to ensure we launch a stable, high-quality MVP that delights users.
• Act as a sounding board for our team on complex technical challenges, offering fresh perspectives and proven solutions.
• Champion a culture of engineering excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring to the Table

• You’ve been a CTO or senior tech leader before, especially in a startup with a heavy R&D or AI component.
• You have successfully led teams through the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and MVP to launch and scaling.
• You thrive in environments where not all the answers are known, and you’re comfortable guiding teams through technical uncertainty.
• You have hands-on experience solving the classic startup challenges (e.g. inaccurate estimates or unstable releases).
• You are a brilliant communicator who excels at fostering alignment and clarity across technical and non-technical teams.
• You are practical and business-minded, and you know how to make the right trade-offs to ship a great product on time.
