About Us
We're building a platform that helps AI labs validate and evaluate their healthcare models before they are used by hospitals and other health organizations. Our product sits between AI labs and healthcare providers, providing independent testing and feedback to ensure models perform reliably in real-world clinical settings.
We are currently developing our MVP, and are in active conversations with several AI labs to run pilot projects.
About the Work
Our offshore engineering team is making progress on the MVP, but we want to ensure we are building it right for the long term. We're looking for a Fractional CTO who can guide our architecture, and make sure the system we ship is ready for real pilots with AI labs.
Specifically, you'll:
- Define the core system architecture across our two-sided platform (healthcare experts on one side, and the AI labs on the other)
- Oversee our engineering team (based in India), and hold them accountable to timelines, so we hit our MVP target and can run pilots on schedule
- Translate the product vision into a technical roadmap
- Even better if you can help us shape the product vision too
- Ensure security and data handling are sound
- Help us hire our first in-house full-time engineer
Tech stack:
- Python, FastAPI
- Next.js
- Firestore
- Redis
- Google Cloud, Docker
About You
You MUST have:
- Been a CTO or equivalent for other early-stage healthtech startups
- Architected production-grade LLM systems within healthcare
- Concepts like model evals, data pipelines, post-training like fine-tuning & RLHF, and human-in-the-loop workflows are all familiar territory for you
- Strong comfort handling security, data privacy, and compliance requirements in a healthcare context
- Can be based anywhere in the world, but must have worked for US-based healthtech startups and have knowledge of the US healthcare system
- Comfortable with our above tech stack
Some nice-to-haves:
- Product strategy experience
- Run pilot deployments with enterprise customers before
