The Company
We're a training company that teaches communications skills to teams at pharma, medical device, and life sciences companies. We're now building a software platform to measure how those skills are acquired and maintained over time.
Stage & proof points:
- In business 20+ years
- A working prototype with early validation
The Work
We want to build our MVP the right way, so we're looking for a Fractional CTO to set up our foundations and own our technical direction for the MVP and beyond.
Specifically, you'll:
- Provide feedback on our initial architecture plan for our web application
- Decide our tech stack, and set up our infrastructure
- Think through the necessary enterprise-grade technical decisions like SOC II compliance, single-sign on authentication, data privacy, etc.
- Answer security reviews and questionnaires from our clients (mostly healthtech, biotech, and life sciences enterprises)
- Either build the MVP yourself, or bring in trusted contractors in your network for execution work
- Work most closely with our CEO
About You
You MUST have:
- Been a CTO or equiv. engineering leader for other healthtech, biotech, pharma, med-tech, or life science technology companies
- If you're not deeply familiar with this world, we won't be the right fit
- A hands-on software engineering skillset, and you're comfortable building the MVP yourself
- If not, you should have a trusted, pre-vetted dev shop or contractor that you can bring in for execution
- Experience owning security questionnaires for products selling to enterprises
- Based in the USA or Canada only
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with long sales cycles, strict procurement processes, and the bureaucracies that come with large healthcare orgs
