The Work

We think the time is now to start transforming how our business works with AI. We're looking for an Applied AI Engineer to build custom AI solutions to power different parts of our business.

Specifically, you'll:

• Sit with different teams (e.g. trading, investor relations, etc.) to understand how we can improve their workflows with AI
• Drive projects like:
  
  • Automate our monthly investor report generation
  • Build a weekly portfolio report dashboard that pulls together internal data from our business and market news
  • Build investor briefings that get automatically generated before calls
• Help choose the tech stack, set up the infrastructure, CI/CD, etc.
• Help the team stay up to date on the latest off-the-shelf AI tooling
• Work most closely with our COO

About You

You MUST have:

• A software engineering background, and you're still hands-on coding today
• Also played the role of a PM, Solutions Architect, Forward-deployed Engineer, or other equivalent work where you're working directly with users to gather requirements and deliver workflow improvements
• Plenty of experience working with large datasets, building pipelines, and modeling data
• Built AI-native products and features, used in production workflows, by real businesses
• Significant experience with hedge funds, or adjacent financial services products and services. Examples include:
  
  • Fund administrators
  • Prime brokers
  • Hedge fund software vendors (portfolio management, order management, fund accounting)
  • Investor relations and CRM platforms for funds
  • Funds of funds, endowments, pensions, and outsourced CIO firms
  • Family offices
  • Asset managers and mutual fund companies
• Based in the NYC-tri-state area, and can come into our office in Manhattan to meet with the team as needed
