About The Job
We are seeking a fractional executive to serve as both Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO). This hybrid role supports our CEO in steering MODVentures through our next phase of strategic growth. The right candidate will balance financial foresight with operational execution, bringing rigor, clarity, and momentum to our growing firm.
Key Responsibilities
CFO Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain financial models, cash flow forecasts, and long-range plans.
• Conduct margin analysis, service line profitability reviews, and scenario planning.
• Guide budgeting, pricing strategy, and strategic capital investments.
• Support growth planning with financial insights and risk analysis.
COO Responsibilities:
• Lead operational planning and execution: workflows, systems, and resource management.
• Build operational KPIs and dashboards to track performance and utilization.
• Optimize project delivery, internal processes, and service scalability.
• Support the CEO with team structure, hiring roadmap, and cross-departmental alignment.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in a CFO, COO, or Integrator role within a professional services, consulting, or accounting firm (fractional experience is welcome).
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to improve operations, implement systems, and drive execution.
• Familiarity with modern business tools such as QuickBooks Online, ClickUp, Gusto, Slack, etc.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• A strategic thinker with hands-on ability to get things done.
Engagement Details
• Hours: 10–20 hours per week (flexible based on scope and availability)
• Location: Remote, U.S.-based preferred (must be available for regular calls in Pacific or Mountain Time)
• Compensation: Competitive hourly or retainer-based compensation + opportunity for performance incentives
