Role Summary
TARA Mind is seeking a dynamic and visionary fractional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to spearhead our marketing strategies and enhance our brand’s influence in the nascent industry of Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy. This role demands a strategic thinker with a strong background in healthcare marketing, adept at navigating the complexities of a startup environment and driving growth through innovative marketing solutions. The CMO will focus on amplifying our brand’s presence, particularly by engaging healthcare providers, employers, and potential partners.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Vision:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with TARA Mind’s mission and broadens our influence in the mental health care sector.
- Lead brand identity initiatives, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels and resonance with diverse stakeholders.
- Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum impact.
Audience Engagement and Brand Management:
- Identify key audience segments such as healthcare providers, employers, and partners; drive execution to create targeted marketing campaigns for each stakeholder utilizing tools like SEO, social media, and email marketing to effectively engage each group. Oversee the creation of engaging content tailored to different platforms, ensuring it upholds the brand’s voice and goals.
Partnership Development and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with external marketing agencies, media outlets, and other partners to enhance brand visibility and public relations efforts.
- Advise TARA Mind on conference attendance and other key events, guiding the creation and distribution of engaging brand collateral to maximize visibility and impact at these gatherings.
Collaboration with Design and Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work closely with TARA Mind's Head of Design, Communications Consultant and Copywriters to ensure that all marketing materials reflect the brand identity and communicate our value proposition effectively.
- Coordinate efforts between internal teams and external agencies to ensure cohesive and effective marketing campaigns.
Integrated Marketing Execution:
- Drive the marketing execution across all platforms including our social media, website, and email campaigns, ensuring a consistent, impactful, and engaging online presence that reflects TARA Mind’s brand voice.
- Manage and oversee external engagements with PR and marketing agencies, ensuring alignment with TARA Mind’s strategic goals and brand messaging.
6. Analytics and Performance Optimization:
- Utilize data analytics to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and strategies, making data-driven decisions to optimize future initiatives.
- Regularly report on marketing performance, offering insights and strategies for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of marketing experience, with a strong preference for backgrounds in the healthcare sector, particularly in mental health or related fields.
- Proven track record in B2B marketing and in leading strategic marketing initiatives in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and collaborate with external PR and marketing agencies, ensuring campaigns are aligned with organizational objectives.
- Expertise in digital marketing tools and platforms, including HubSpot and LinkedIn, with a strong ability to leverage these tools for targeted marketing and sales enhancement.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of psychedelic assisted therapy preferred, but not required.
