As we are publicly launching our first big data, proteomics platform, iCLASS (www.iclasscube.com), we are seeking a senior-level, well-connected, and entrepreneurial Fractional Business Development Executive to play a key role in sourcing and converting new client partnerships in the East Coast US and globally.

About the Role
This is a strategic, high-impact role for an experienced business development leader with deep industry connectivity. As a fractional team member, you will leverage your established relationships within the biotech and pharma ecosystems to drive revenue and new project acquisition for our iCLASS platform and Dalriada’s integrated drug discovery services.
You will work closely with the executive and scientific leadership team to refine the company’s business growth strategy and unlock new partnerships through trusted networks, market insights, and senior-level engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively identify and convert opportunities through existing connections in biotech, pharma, academia, and VC networks globally but with a focus on the East Coast, US market.
- Build high-trust relationships with C-suite, BD, and scientific decision-makers at potential client organizations
- Champion Dalriada and iCLASS’s unique value proposition and scientific capabilities with strategic partners
- Collaborate with Dalriada’s leadership and technical teams to tailor pitches and proposals
- Advise on go-to-market strategy and positioning in the US and international markets
- Influence strategic BD planning based on trends, intel, and direct client feedback
- Support and close key opportunities across discovery-stage therapeutic areas
Qualifications
- 10+ years in life sciences, with a strong track record of business development or alliance management success and demonstrated revenue growth
- Deep understanding of small molecule drug discovery, with fluency in scientific conversations
- A strong network of industry contacts in East Coast US biotech hubs (e.g., Boston, NYC, RTP)
- Proven ability to develop trusted relationships and bring in new business through referrals, prior clients, or network influence
- Experience working in or with contract research organizations (CROs), biotech startups, or pharma BD teams
- PhD or advanced degree in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology, or a related scientific field is strongly preferred
