We have been in business for about 10 years and are generating $10 million in annual revenue.

About the Work

We have a small offshore engineering team without any technical guidance, which has resulted in a very slow and unreliable eCommerce presence. We're looking for a Fractional Tech Lead to guide our team, help us manage engineering projects, and be hands-on as needed.

We have a small offshore engineering team that would benefit from an experienced engineer and leader to improve our performance. We’re looking for a Fractional Tech Lead to help make immediate improvements to both our eCommerce platforms, guide our team, manage engineering projects, and be hands-on as needed.

Specifically, you'll:

• Identify flaws in our current platforms and lead an action plan for improvement
• Manage and mentor a team of 3 developers based in the Philippines
• Set up better development practices, including a staging workflow, testing best practices, deployment processes, etc.
• Do an audit of our entire architecture to find ways to improve performance and reliability
• Lead the team through a major ERP project
• Do hands-on development work as needed
• Hire the right full-time tech lead eventually, ideally based in the Philippines with the rest of the engineers

About You

You MUST have:

• Significant Wordpress experience
• Familiar with WooCommerce
• Managed offshore engineering teams
• Worked for other eCommerce brands, consumer or B2B
• Based in the USA or Canada, or in a region that operates in USA time zones

Nice-to-haves:

• Ruby on Rails expertise
• You've built ERP systems before
