We're building a social app where anyone, particularly women and marginalized groups, can feel safe to talk about anything. From friend breakups to salary negotiations to your dating life.

We've raised a $5M in Seed+ funding (raising our A later this year). Currently serving 80K+ users, mostly Gen-Z women & non-binary folks.

About the Work

We've worked with an offshore dev team until now, and want to bring engineering leadership more in-house in advance of our Series A. We're looking for a Fractional Tech Lead who can lead our engineering team by example - which means both setting our technical strategy, and showing what great code looks like.

Specifically, you'll:

• Lead our offshore engineering team - run daily calls, improve our processes, perform code reviews, etc.
• Take on new features yourself - this is a hands-on coding role
• Roadmap planning - provide technical guidance to our leadership team to build a more informed roadmap
• Help with new hires - our goal is to bring engineering in house eventually
• You'll work most closely with our Chief Product Officer

Tech Stack:

• React Native iOS & Android apps
• React / Next.js web frontend
• Node.js
• MySQL + AWS

About You

Required criteria:

• You've led engineering teams at early-stage tech startups
  • You've probably had titles like: Tech Lead, Eng Manager, CTO, or equivalent
• You're a highly capable engineer who is excited about coding
• You're extremely comfortable in our entire tech stack, from React Native down to AWS
• You like the sound of our product - designed to create a safe space for gen-z women / non-binary folks
• You're based in the USA / Canada, and are comfortable working ET hours (because our current engineers are mostly in Eastern Europe)

Bonus points:

• You've built consumer social apps
• Any AI / ML experience
