About Us
SplitStay is a platform that helps solo travelers share accommodation safely and affordably, starting with conferences, festivals, and major events. We partner with the broader MICE ecosystem to make travel more social, sustainable, and accessible.
We are now looking for a Strategic Partnerships Advisor with a strong network in the MICE & Events industry to help open doors, shape strategy, and secure pilot partnerships with key ecosystem players (event organizers, ticketing platforms, event-tech vendors, CVBs, DMOs, venue groups, etc.).
Candidates may be based anywhere. Preference for US MICE hubs (Austin, Chicago, Miami, Vegas).
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys evangelizing new ideas, connecting ecosystems, and helping innovative travel-tech scale. This is a fractional / advisory engagement, with flexible involvement tailored around senior-level contribution.

🎯 What You Will Focus On
You will help SplitStay connect with:
- event organizers & conference producers
- ticketing & registration platforms
- event-tech / event management solution providers (EMS)
- Convention & Visitor Bureaus (CVBs)
- Destination Management Organizations (DMOs)
- accommodation partners, venues, and hotels
Your core activities will include:
- facilitating warm introductions in your network
- opening doors for partnership & pilot conversations
- advising on positioning and GTM strategy in the MICE ecosystem
- identifying high-leverage pilot events & partnerships
- joining selected calls when helpful
- acting as a strategic thought partner to the founder
This is not traditional sales – it is ecosystem partnership building and founder-led evangelism.

Within the first 3–6 months:
- introductions to decision-makers across the events ecosystem
- pilot partnership conversations underway
- SplitStay present in relevant MICE communities & forums
- clear partnership frameworks co-designed with you
- refined organizer value proposition & messaging
✔️ You Are A Strong Fit If You
- have deep experience in MICE / conferences / large-scale events
- already know buyers and decision-makers in the sector
- major event organizers or venues
- enjoy connecting people and building ecosystems
- are comfortable working with early-stage startups
- believe travel can be more social and sustainable
- have worked with one or more of:
- event-tech or EMS platforms
- ticketing / registration platforms
- CVBs or DMOs
