The Role

We’re looking for a senior software engineer who enjoys working directly with clients, not just writing code. This is a part-time, fully remote contractor role where you’ll act as the bridge between clients and our engineering team. You’ll lead conversations, clarify requirements, and ensure everyone stays aligned - from non-technical stakeholders to developers. This role is ideal if you want to stay close to real-world software projects while avoiding the demands of a full-time engineering position.

What You’ll Do

• Join client video calls (discovery, progress updates, follow-ups)
• Ask the right questions to clarify requirements and define scope
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable tasks for developers
• Explain technical concepts, decisions, and trade-offs in simple terms
• Write concise meeting notes and define next steps
• Proactively communicate timelines, risks, and blockers
• Support light pre-sales conversations and identify growth opportunities
• Build strong, long-term relationships with clients

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or similar technical role
• Strong understanding of modern development (web, APIs, cloud, mobile)
• Fluent English (spoken and written), comfortable leading client calls
• Ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable working with US-based clients and time zones
• Highly organized, reliable, and proactive communicator
• Able to work independently in a fully remote environment

Nice to Have

• Experience working with US-based clients
• Background in customer success, account management, or pre-sales
• Experience in FinTech, eCommerce, or AI-related projects
