LiveLineIQ is an early-stage startup building a real-time sports betting intelligence product. The app is currently in closed testing, with a public launch targeted for late summer.

The platform ingests live odds and game-state data, applies statistical analysis to identify potential betting edges, and surfaces timely opportunities to users through a mobile-first experience.

We are looking for a senior engineer who can help improve the app, ship launch-critical features, and add product polish ahead of public release.

About the Role

We are looking for a senior React Native / product-minded engineer to work directly with our technical lead and founding team.

This person will help move the app from closed testing toward a more polished, reliable public launch. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in an early-stage environment where requirements may be rough, priorities may shift, and strong product judgment is needed.

This role is best suited for someone who can operate without fully defined tickets, clarify requirements, make smart implementation decisions, and turn rough product direction into shippable work.

The initial focus will be on React Native mobile development, frontend/product polish, API integration, and launch readiness. There may also be opportunities to support web app development and collaborate on backend/data-related workflows, but deep data engineering is not the primary need for this first hire.

• This is an immediate project need. Candidates should be available to interview right away and onboard shortly after selection. 
• This is a fractional / part time contract role, approved for up to 15 hours per week, with potential to increase based on project needs and client demand.

What You’ll Do

• Improve and polish the existing React Native mobile app ahead of public launch.
• Build and refine user-facing features across mobile and potentially web.
• Work with APIs that support real-time odds, game-state data, and alerting workflows.
• Help improve UX, app flows, responsiveness, and overall product quality.
• Support iOS TestFlight and Android Play Console testing/release processes.
• Turn rough product ideas and founder feedback into shippable work.
• Collaborate with the technical lead on architecture, implementation, and release readiness.
• Review, improve, and ship code in an AI-assisted development environment.
• Help identify bugs, edge cases, and launch blockers before public release.
• Contribute to lightweight engineering process, backlog hygiene, and prioritization as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience building and shipping React Native applications.
• Experience with both iOS and Android mobile development workflows.
• Comfort working with Expo / EAS, TestFlight, and Google Play Console preferred.
• Strong frontend/product instincts and an eye for UX polish.
• Ability to work with REST APIs, backend services, and real-time or event-driven product flows.
• Experience building or supporting applications hosted on AWS.
• Experience working in early-stage startups or ambiguous product environments.
• Strong judgment and ability to make progress without perfect requirements.
• Clear communication and ability to push back, clarify, and recommend better approaches.
• Comfortable working independently in a fractional/contract capacity.
• Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.
• Ability to critically review AI-generated code and avoid shipping low-quality or unmaintainable output.
• High discretion when working with proprietary product logic, algorithms, and sensitive project materials.

Nice to Have

• Experience with sports betting, odds, trading, financial markets, or real-time alerting products.
• Experience with low-latency or time-sensitive consumer applications.
• Experience building subscription, notification, or alert-based mobile products.
• Familiarity with backend/data pipelines, analytics, or statistical model outputs.
• Experience building serverless applications.
• Experience working with non-technical founders or translating loose requirements into product decisions.
• UX or lightweight design sensibility.

Current product environment includes:

• React Native mobile app

• APIs supporting live odds, game-state data, and alerting logic
• AI-assisted development workflow using tools such as Claude Code

The core data backbone is already being led internally. This role should be comfortable working around data-driven APIs and real-time workflows, but the primary focus is mobile/product execution and launch polish.
