About Us
We are building a consumer product for high-fidelity visual generation and editing powered by advanced AI models.
Both co-founders are ex-Google Brain / DeepMind, and we've raised a round of funding from some of the top VCs in Silicon Valley.
About the Work
We're spread so thin on other parts of our application, and need dedicated frontend support to help us launch our playground for users to experiment with our models. We're looking for a Fractional Senior Frontend Engineer to own the frontend for our web app, and ensure it is scalable, responsive, and beautiful.
Specifically, you'll:
- Audit and then recommend improvements to our existing frontend codebase
- Turn mockups into production-ready, scalable frontend code
- Build everything mobile-first
- Optimize frontend performance, particularly around the rich multimedia we generate and display
- Pay strong attention to UX details, especially around AI constraints (e.g. long load times)
- Work most closely with our CEO, CTO, and other engineer
Tech stack:
- React + Remix
- Python + Fast API
- GCP
- Redis
About You
You MUST have:
- Deep frontend expertise with React (web), this should be your bread and butter
- If your experience leans primarily backend, or native mobile only, we won't be the right fit
- Architected frontends for consumer products, ideally social, entertainment, and media
- Plenty of experience implementing AI features into interfaces, and understand the unique UX these features require
- Based in the USA only
Some nice-to-haves:
- You have a design background
- Python experience
