About This Engagement
Just Right Reader is seeking an experienced Growth Marketing consultant to support our growth objectives on a fractional basis. This independent contractor engagement will focus primarily on lead generation, pipeline development, and adoption within U.S. school districts.
This is a 6-month, outcomes-focused engagement, with the potential to extend by mutual agreement based on business needs.
Scope of Work
The contractor will provide strategic and executional growth marketing support, which may include:
- Developing and executing a full-funnel growth marketing strategy with qualified lead generation as a primary objective.
- Designing and launching marketing campaigns aimed at increasing awareness and demand among district-level decision-makers.
- Creating messaging frameworks and content recommendations tailored to the K-12 education market.
- Defining, monitoring, and reporting on top-of-funnel performance metrics, including lead volume, quality, and conversion.
- Collaborating with sales stakeholders to align on ideal customer profiles (ICP), pipeline health, and growth priorities.
- Providing strategic guidance on brand positioning, thought leadership, and storytelling.
- Establishing and tracking KPIs related to CAC, funnel performance, and campaign ROI.
- Coordinating, as needed, with internal contributors or external vendors supporting marketing initiatives.
This engagement does not include internal people management, HR responsibilities, or administrative duties.
- Demonstrated experience marketing to U.S. school districts, with a strong understanding of K-12 purchasing and decision-making processes.
- Proven track record designing and optimizing lead generation programs, ideally within education or mission-driven organizations.
- Strong expertise across digital marketing channels, campaign experimentation, content strategy, and marketing automation.
- Familiarity with cyclical buying patterns, budget timing, and funding mechanisms in K-12 education.
- Ability to work independently, define priorities, and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with sales and product stakeholders.
- Alignment with Just Right Reader's mission and a commitment to equity and literacy.
Engagement Details
- This role is structured as an independent contractor (1099) engagement.
- The contractor will determine their own work schedule, methods, tools, and approach, subject to agreed-upon milestones and deadlines.
- The contractor may provide services to other clients during the term of this engagement.
- Compensation will be provided on a monthly retainer or project-based basis, as outlined in a separate agreement.
- Services will be performed remotely; occasional in-person collaboration may occur by mutual agreement.
