The Role

We are seeking a Fractional Finance Head to oversee and strengthen the financial backbone of our business. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for an experienced finance professional who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and can provide both strategic oversight and day-to-day financial management. Ideally, with a CPG and manufacturing background.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Controlling & Oversight:

• Manage all accounting, reporting, and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes.

Cash Flow & Reporting:

• Lead cash flow forecasting and treasury management.
• Prepare weekly board reports with financial insights, KPIs, and variance analysis.
• Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts.

Accounting & Operations:

• Manage AP/AR cycles, vendor payments, and collections.
• Supervise payroll, expense management, and bank reconciliations.
• Conduct inventory audits and reconcile physical vs. recorded stock.
• Optimize financial processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Unit Economics & Business Insights:

• Analyze and report on unit economics at product and channel levels.
• Provide insights on margins, COGS, and contribution per SKU.

Systems & Tools:

• Oversee and maintain QuickBooks Online as the primary accounting platform.
• Ensure integration with inventory, banking, and reporting systems.
• Implement improvements for automation and scalability.

Strategic Support:

• Partner with the CEO and leadership team to develop and implement financial strategies and informed decision-making.
• Budgeting Planning
• Due diligence processes.
• Provide insights for pricing, margins, and profitability improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Financial leader, Controller, with experience in a startup environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, inventory control, unit economics, and cash flow management.
• Hands-on expertise with QuickBooks Online and related tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate financials into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a fractional/part-time capacity with a startup mindset.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred but not required.
