About Us
We're building a platform that connects new physicians (often just finishing residency) with jobs at hospitals or private physician practices.
We've raised a pre-seed, and have 1,500 physicians and 40 employers on our platform so far.
About the Work
We've built a basic MVP with a PHP frontend, and are now looking for a Fractional React Native Lead to own development on our native app (iOS and Android) from start to finish. The goal is to replace our current web-based frontend in the next few months.
Specifically, you'll:
- Lead all frontend development of our mobile app, both iOS and Android
- You'll be starting from scratch
- Architect the codebase such that we can use the frontend for React-web too (down the line)
- Integrate the app directly with mobile device features like the camera and microphone
- Collaborate with our UX designer to create a well-polished experience
- Work closely with our CTO (hands-on developer), and our backend engineer
Tech Stack:
- React Native (duh!)
- Legacy PHP frontend
- PHP backend (all major API endpoints are already built and documented)
About You
Required criteria:
- 8+ years writing software, including as a lead, primary, or solo engineer on a project
- Deep React Native expertise
- you've likely architected at least 2+ React Native apps
- Experience building frontends for a consumer audience
- You resonate strongly with our engineering culture
- Focus on great test coverage
- Leverage AI tools (Cursor, Windsurf, etc.) wherever possible
- Daily standups but otherwise asynchronous work
- Based in the USA / Canada only
