About Us
We are a growing NYC-based hospitality brand - a coffeeshop by day, bar by night. We have two locations, with a recently opened flagship location in Long Island City.
We build community through warm hospitality, with quality coffee, an ever rotating craft beer selection and a robust events program.
About the Work
We're looking for a Fractional FP&A Director to own our finances, planning, budgeting, etc.
As we've grown, a lot of the systems we've implemented to analyze and forecast our business have broken / not scaled. You're here to fix this.
We expect this work to require up to 20 hrs / week for the first month to set things up, and then after that can taper down to 2 - 5 hrs / week or less.
Specifically, you'll:
- Live outside the day-to-day craziness of running a retail business, focused instead on our future
- Give us consistent visibility into our profitability
- Work closely with our CEO - a former FP&A at Dig Inn, HelloFresh, and more
- NOT be responsible for bookkeeping or accounting, these functions are already covered
About You
You're a senior FP&A leader with significant experience in the brick & mortar retail businesses.
You're a great fit if you meet all the following:
- 8+ years finance experience
- You've held the FP&A title before, or equivalent titles like "Business Partner"
- Your focus area includes the F&B industry, ideally working with restaurant groups. At a minimum, you need significant B&M retail experience
- This is NOT your first fractional job. You know how to balance clients and can be effective on a few hrs / week
- Ideally you're NYC-based, but open to considering other candidates in the USA only
