With Headquarter in the heart of Chicago, we are evolving to become one of the most desired market research consultancies in the world. This is a short-term, fractional opportunity. The anticipated workload is approximately 20 hours per week, this role will oversee day-to-day accounts payable, accounts receivable, and recurring financial reporting to ensure continuity of finance operations while partnering closely with internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the below:
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day Accounts Payable process, including invoice review, coding, payment processing, and vendor communications.
- Manage Accounts Receivable activities, including client invoicing, collections, payment application, and aging follow-up.
- Prepare recurring financial reports, dashboards, and operational metrics for leadership.
- Assist with monthly financial close activities, including account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Monitor cash flow and provide visibility into upcoming payables, receivables, and working capital.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure transactions are processed in accordance with company policies.
- Partner with leadership to identify process improvements and strengthen financial operations.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and operational initiatives as business needs arise.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve billing, payment, and reporting questions in a timely manner.
- Work approximately 20 hours per week, with an expectation of being on-site two days per week to support collaboration and business operations.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university equivalent plus.
Mid-level position with 5+ years of relevant industry experience and/or training.
