Data/ML Architect

Role Description

DeFy Tickets is seeking a Fractional Data/ML Architect (~5-7 hours/week) to provide senior-level oversight and advisory support as we build an AI-native Customer & Marketing Intelligence layer. This role is remote and highly impactful, ideal for someone with experience in adtech, streaming, ticketing, or CDPs. The right candidate will guide development across identity resolution, attribution modeling, demand forecasting, and recommendation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance and architectural oversight for core data and ML initiatives.
• Advise on unified identity graph development and identity resolution techniques.
• Guide implementation of multi-touch attribution models (Markov, Shapley, incrementality).
• Support creative analytics across visual and NLP data modalities.
• Advise on predictive demand forecasting and conversion modeling for ticketed events.
• Help architect embedding-based recommendation systems for personalization.
• Serve as a light-touch thought partner to the engineering team to ensure scalable and forward-thinking decisions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in identity resolution and customer data platforms (CDPs).
• Deep knowledge of attribution modeling, including statistical and ML-based methods.
• Background in creative analytics leveraging both computer vision and NLP.
• Strong understanding of demand forecasting methods relevant to event ticketing.
• Expertise in recommendation systems using embeddings (e.g., matrix factorization, deep learning).
• Prior experience in high-scale, data-intensive environments (e.g., adtech, streaming, ticketing).
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills, suited for a fractional advisory role.
