Part-Time Controller (1099 Contractor) — Cincinnati, Hybrid Jess Jewelry Designs — wholesale under American Ring Source, retail under Diamonds Rock — is looking for an experienced controller to own our monthly close on an ongoing contract basis.

AR and AP are already staffed in-house. We need a senior set of hands to close the books, produce the financials, and keep us current on cash.

You'd own: monthly close and period close in Acumatica, reconciliations, inventory valuation, accruals, a consolidated P&L and balance sheet with sales by division delivered by the 15th, rolling cash flow reporting, and the year-end package for our tax CPA.

You wouldn't own: AP/AR staff, payroll, sales tax, or cash handling.

Setup: Acumatica ERP, one entity, one monthly financial statement, divisions tracked at the sales line. Clean books — this isn't a cleanup project.

Structure: 1099 contractor, ongoing monthly engagement, roughly 20–25 hours/month. Mostly remote with time in our Cincinnati office around close.

Fee: $2,500–$3,500/month depending on experience and final scope.

Who we're looking for: an experienced controller who has worked on a contract or fractional basis before. You don't need jewelry experience — we sell a product and track it like any other business, and our books are in good shape. Acumatica or comparable ERP experience is a plus, not a requirement.
