We've built a suite of products on top of Salesforce that help companies across industries manage their operations, customers, and projects more effectively.
We've got over 40 employees, and are backed by a large private equity institution.
About the Work
Our Accounting function isn't moving forward and is in need of stronger leadership. We're looking for a Fractional Controller to up-level our processes and build a more tech-enabled accounting function.
Specifically, you'll:
- Own the monthly close
- We use Quickbooks Online
- Manage sales commissions calculations
- Own our revenue recognition review process, ensuring deals are closed cleanly before they hit the books
- Continuously update our financial models with current actuals, particularly as part of board meeting prep
- Coordinate with our external auditors annually
- Oversee compliance issues, particularly around sales tax
- Identify opportunities to make the accounting function more efficient, including through modern AI tools
- Work most closely with our CFO, Accountant, and bookkeeping/AP contractor
About You
You MUST have:
- Acted as Controller or Head of Accounting for other B2B SaaS startups
- Specific experience with SaaS cos in the $5MM - $50MM ARR range
- Experience using modern AI tooling and workflows to improve accounting and control processes
- Managed sales commissions before
- Audit experience, and comfortable coordinating with external auditors
- Quickbooks Online expertise
Some nice-to-haves:
- Prior experience at PE-backed firms
- Previously supported a RevOps team
