About Us
We're an early-stage real estate tech startup building tools for commercial brokerages. We've raised $5M to date, just raised our seed round and are excited to take our engineering efforts to the next level.
We've been building for two years, and have a product in-market with some of the top commercial real-estate brokerages in the country as clients of ours.
About the Work
We're looking to bring on a business-minded Fractional CTO to lead our small engineering team, set engineering processes / best practices, and collaborate closely with the rest of the leadership team as we scale.
The existing engineering team is two engineers today, and we're looking to grow the team over time. You'd play a central role in that hiring process.
The tech stack is React + Nextjs, with a Node backend (all Typescript). Leveraging websockets, Redis, AWS. We do have some legacy code that is React (Javascript) + Django.
You'd be reporting to the Founder/CEO, and aside from the engineering team would work closely with our Head of Product/Operations and our Head of Design.
This is a fractional leadership role for about 5 - 10 hrs / week indefinitely, with compensation paid as a monthly retainer in the ballpark of $200 - $250/hr.
About You
15+ years engineering experience - We want someone who's seen it and done it all before, many times.
Early-stage startup veteran -Your Linkedin should show a track record of working at a variety of venture-backed tech startups, ideally in senior engineering roles.
A highly skilled engineer that can navigate our tech stack and codebase. We don't expect this role to be hands-on coding, but an understanding of our codebase will be critical.
Engineering management experience is a must, including mentoring engineers, collaborating and communicating technical concepts to non-engineers.
A strong business sense is most important of all. Someone who has prior experience working with leadership teams to make practical business decisions and technical tradeoffs.
Bonus points if you have real estate experience.
