About Cricket8

We are a fast-growing UK startup focussed on publishing low latency in-depth data alongside original video, audio and written content to cricket fans in India and across South Asia.

Having swiftly built a significant following, we are now in the process of developing an early-stage PoC for monetisation.

We are developing free to play games with paid-for upgrades, to be played between friends and other users. We are not a gambling company however the game has some similar features to a traditional sportsbook.

The Role

We require the fCTO to work with several 3^rd party development partners. Initially the role will be responsible for hands-on development to ensure the smooth integration between 3^rd party apps and code. Over time, we will recruit an in-house development team to bring as much code in-house as possible.

Currently web-only, once the monetised product is released and stable, we will develop it into an Android app and later into an iOS app.

Skills & Experience

You must be UK based and be able to get to London once per month at least.

It is essential that candidates have experience with sports betting products and all their subsidiary components including market settlements and wallets, payment processors, multiple data APIs, content, CRM etc. Experience of betting exchanges would be advantageous.

Hands-on development experience of React, Java, Scala, Postgres, Vue.js as well as oversight experience of Android and iOS development is required.

We require an experienced technical leader with strong commercial skills who can build and lead a technical team as well as inspire confidence in all stakeholders including investors / shareholders.
