Role Overview

We are seeking a Fractional CTO to provide strategic technology leadership for Complexiti’s Noestra platform. This is a critical, hands-on role for an established technology executive who thrives in fast-paced, high-impact environments and can drive innovation while aligning technology with business objectives. As part of the pre-seed team you will shape our technical vision, guide our engineering team, and ensure our platform’s scalability, security, and reliability - all on a flexible, part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Technology Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and execute a robust technology roadmap aligned with Complexiti's business goals and growth trajectory.
• Technical Leadership: Advise on architectural decisions, technology stack selection, and best practices for scalable, secure, and compliant systems.
• Team Guidance & Mentorship: Mentor and guide our engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors, partners, and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and integration.
• Security & Compliance: Oversee cybersecurity protocols and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Product Development Oversight: Provide oversight and guidance on product development, from concept through launch, ensuring quality assurance and timely delivery.
• Risk Assessment: Identify technology risks and establish mitigation strategies to support business continuity and resilience.
• AI Collaboration: Work alongside our Chief AI Officer (CAIO) to ensure Complexiti remains at the forefront of artificial intelligence innovation and governance, driving responsible and cutting-edge solutions for our clients.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a CTO or senior financial services technology leader, ideally in institutional client onboarding.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute technology strategies that support rapid artificial intelligence growth and innovation.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Track record of building and leading high-performing technical teams.
• Experience with vendor management and technology procurement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required; Master’s or PhD preferred.
