Chief Financial Officer

Perfeos is looking for a rare kind of financial leader—someone equally comfortable setting the strategic direction of the company as they are closing the books at month-end.

This is a Fractional, 1099 Independent Contractor role designed for a hands-on operator who doesn’t just manage finance but owns it entirely. You will be a department of one, serving as a true partner to our CEO and COO.

The Logistics

• Time Commitment: ~20 hours per week
• Status: Independent Contractor (1099)
• Location: Fully Remote (Must be based in the US)

What You’ll Own

You aren't just a consultant; you are the engine room. Your responsibilities span the entire financial spectrum:

• Strategic Finance: Advise leadership on growth, capital allocation, and risk. You translate numbers into actionable decisions.
• Financial Modeling: Build and maintain the multi-year projections that drive our roadmap.
• Full-Cycle Accounting: Own the general ledger. You’ll personally handle AP/AR, payroll, and period-end closings.
• Cash & Runway Management: Track burn and working capital with precision. Surface problems before they become crises.
• Systems & Automation: Optimize our QuickBooks environment and finance stack to ensure we scale efficiently.

Who You Are

• The Hybrid: 7+ years of experience spanning technical accounting and high-level strategy. (Audit/Accounting background + CFO/Finance Director experience is the sweet spot).
• The Architect: You can build a complex model from a blank spreadsheet and explain it to a non-finance audience with ease.
• The Perfectionist: You treat a $10 reconciliation gap as seriously as a $10,000 one—because you know process gaps don't stay small.
• The Owner: You are comfortable being the only finance person in the room and taking 100% ownership of the function.
• The Techie: Expert-level Excel/Sheets and QuickBooks skills are required. Experience with modern automation tools is a major plus.
