About us
Panoptyc uses AI and manual review to detect theft at over 15,000 markets in the US. They are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Fractional CFO to join their fully remote. The ideal candidate will be a financial leader with a proven track record of financial success in a fast-growing tech startup. As Fractional CFO at Panoptyc, you'll wear multiple hats while providing valuable financial insights to help them achieve their goals, including streamlining their financial operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies that align with our organization's objectives.
- Provide expert financial guidance on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to ensure financial stability and growth.
- Conduct regular financial analyses and prepare comprehensive reports to present to the leadership team.
- Oversee financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processes, and taxes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Review and improve existing financial policies, procedures, processes and internal controls to optimize financial efficiency, with a particular focus on resolving any issues with invoice management, subscription types, and pricing structures.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure our organization remains financially compliant and competitive.
- Develop a robust financial planning system to align budgets and forecasts across functional areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA qualification preferred.
- Extensive years of experience as a CFO, Financial Controller, or in a similar financial leadership role.
- Proven experience working with a fast-growing start-up and managing complex financial operations.
- Knowledge of financial analysis, cash flow statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with accounting software and financial management tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, coupled with a strategic mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively manage time and deliverables.
- A natural curiosity and a "big picture" mentality.
