Chief Financial Officer

Mirá Biotech is a Deep Tech startup scaling innovative biorefinery technology. Having raised initial rounds in the US, we are now building our pilot plant backed by a ~$4M non-dilutive governamental grant.

The Role:

We are seeking an embedded Fractional CFO to join our core team for 5–10 hours per week, up to demand. You will operate as a key team member (with institutional email & C-suite representation) to:

1. Co-create investor-ready Pitch Decks, financial models, data room, investor memo and strategic messaging with the co-founders.
2. Structure a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV / SPE) for our pilot plant and pellet manufacturing equipment.
3. Lead the execution of a $1M co-investment round raised directly at the SPV level.
4. Design the long-term debt financing roadmap with multilateral and development banks (e.g., BNDES, KfW, California Infrastructure Bank).

Ideal Profile:

• Track record as a CFO, VP of Finance, or Project Finance leader in Climate Tech / HardTech.
• Strong network across Climate VCs, Family Offices, and Impact Investors in North America/Europe.
• Hands-on ability to build narrative pitch decks and quantitative financial models.
• Willingness to operate as an integrated fractional team member.
