High 5 Games is seeking an experienced Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership on a part-time or contract basis. The Fractional CFO will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team, focusing on financial strategy, forecasting, scalability, and decision support, while leveraging the existing Controller and Finance team for day-to-day accounting and operations.
This role is ideal for a senior finance executive who thrives in high-growth, entrepreneurial environments and can deliver executive-level insight without the need for a full-time presence.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Strategic & Executive Leadership
- Act as a strategic financial partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, providing guidance on growth initiatives, product investments, and operational scaling.
- Translate company strategy into financial models, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Support executive decision-making with scenario analysis, risk assessments, and return-on-investment evaluations.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Oversee and guide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
- Review and enhance management reporting, KPIs, and dashboards to ensure leadership has timely, decision-useful insights.
- Provide interpretation of financial results and variances, working closely with the Controller to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Cash, Capital & Risk Management
- Advise on cash flow management, working capital optimization, and capital planning.
- Support financing activities, including lender relations, investor reporting, and capital raise preparation (as applicable).
- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks, including compliance, regulatory, and international considerations.
Oversight of Accounting & Controls
- Provide oversight and strategic direction to the Controller and Finance team, without managing day-to-day accounting operations.
- Ensure financial reporting, policies, and internal controls remain GAAP-compliant and scalable.
- Act as an executive-level liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal partners as needed.
Growth & Special Projects
- Evaluate M&A, partnerships, and strategic initiatives, including financial due diligence and integration planning.
- Support pricing strategy, product profitability analysis, and market expansion initiatives.
- Lead or advise on special projects requiring senior financial expertise.
Engagement Structure
- Part-time / fractional engagement (hours and schedule to be determined based on business needs).
- Expected commitment may range from X–Y hours per month, increasing during budgeting cycles, audits, or strategic initiatives.
- Hybrid or remote arrangement acceptable.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required.
- CPA required; MBA strongly preferred.
Experience
- 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including prior CFO or senior finance executive roles.
- Experience supporting high-growth, technology, gaming, or digital entertainment companies preferred.
- Strong background in FP&A, cash management, GAAP, strategic planning, and executive advisory.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fractional or advisory capacity.
- Comfortable working hands-on when needed while maintaining a high-level strategic perspective.
