Role Description
This is a part-time remote-work role for a Fractional CFO and Chief Management Officer at Food Systems for the Future, located in Chicago, IL. We are a small but dynamic organization and like many US non-profits 2025 is a look through year and we need the right "roll up your sleeves" partner to help us move forward. The Fractional CFO/CMO will be responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis, preparing financial statements, generating financial reports, and ensuring robust financial control, overseeing cybersecurity consultants, personnel consultants and compliance. Day-to-day tasks include routine book-keeping, bill payment, monitoring cash flow, payroll, various management-administrative functions including onboarding new employees, maintaining team and coordinating with CEO to optimize financial and operational performance.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Financial Planning and Analytical Skills
- Proficiency in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting
- Strong background in Accounting and HR-Management
- Comfortable working in small entrepreneurial setting
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Chicago residency a plus
- Experience in agtech or foodtech industries is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
