Fractional CFO (Chief Financial Officer) - Nutraceutical/Manufacturing Sector
Located in Marina del Rey, California, Dr. Schulze’s American Botanical Pharmacy is a leader in the natural health and wellness industry.
The Fractional CFO will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, providing strategic financial leadership to help build a more efficient, data-driven, and scalable business system. The fractional CFO role will focus on improving financial visibility, streamlining core processes, and supporting sound decision-making across our sales, marketing, and distribution operations. This is not a maintenance role - it is a revamp / builder role.
Key Priorities:
- Improve financial visibility and reporting
- Build and manage scalable budgeting and forecasting processes
- Support pricing, margin, and channel strategy
- Optimize cash flow and working capital
- Provide strategic insight to guide growth decisions
- Navigate complexity across multi-channel distribution
- Evaluate resources and make recommendations on improvement and streamlining
- Executes with a “roll-up-your-sleeves” mindset to move initiatives forward
This role is ideal for an experienced financial executive who thrives in dynamic environments and has a deep understanding of the manufacturing sector, cost structures, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (10+ years) as a CFO or senior finance leader, preferably in a CPG manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Deep understanding of cost accounting, supply chain finance, and operational metrics in manufacturing.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with hands-on financial management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Multi-company experience a must
- Experience with Software - Quickbooks, etc., ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
