DIZPOT is a leading packaging and logistics company based in Phoenix, AZ, located at 2430 W. Mission Lane, Phoenix, AZ 85021. Specializing in serving the cannabis industry, DIZPOT achieved $10 million in revenue in 2024 and anticipates significant growth in 2025 with a target of $15 million. The company has recently transitioned from being owner-operated to hiring a CEO, a fractional CFO, and rounding out its C-Suite with a CTO. Additionally, DIZPOT is developing a SaaS ERP, DIZV, set to deploy in 2025.

Role Overview

‍DIZPOT is seeking a qualified and experienced fractional CFO to lead its finance department. The ideal candidate will support the company's financial operations, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and contribute to strategic financial planning. We are looking for someone that can resume immediately.

Scope of Work

‍The fractional CFO will be responsible for the following:

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Report cash flow weekly. Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring adequate resources for operational needs and strategic investments.
• Close out the books for DIZPOT each month by the 20th of the following month.
• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) - Conduct comprehensive financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis, providing insights and reports to the CEO and Ownership group on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
• Tax Strategy and Financial Reporting – Oversee and be responsible for all tax strategy and filings for the Company.
• Funding and Capital Structure - Develop and manage relationships with investors, lenders, and financial institutions to secure required funding and optimize the company's capital structure.
• Risk Management - Identify financial risks and implement effective risk management strategies to protect the company’s assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare DIZPOT for year-end tax reporting by January 15 of the following year.

Team Management:

• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
• Manage a small finance team, including a senior staff accountant and an AP/AR clerk.

Strategic Support:

• Support the lift that DIZPOT is making to make DIZV (the new ERP) market- ready.
• Engage in special projects to enhance DIZPOT's competitiveness in the marketplace, including supply chain management, costing, and other key financial areas for business operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CFO or in a similar financial leadership role.
• Strong understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
• Experience in managing finance teams and overseeing financial operations.
• Familiarity with the cannabis industry and its unique financial challenges is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
