We seek to immediately engage a financial industry expert who is excited to put their talent at the centre stage and be a core component of a new business model for a global industry, one that fuses creativity with money, technology, and audience.

Role Description

In the first instance, this is a brief contract offsite role for a Fractional CFO based in the greater London metro area. Our Fractional CFO will initially be tasked with reviewing, critiquing, and refining the financial modelling we have produced so we can present bulletproof financials to prospective investors.

Our objective is to engage a fractional CFO to ensure our operating budget and business forecasting are accurate. The CFO will identify errors of judgement, assumption, or strategy and add value where possible with insight, analysis, and experience that will inform our strategy and business development. In the long term, we seek an ongoing engagement as a fractional CFO as an integral member of our core team in a role that holds key responsibility for the financial management of the business. This would include strategic financial planning paired with operational and growth intentions, supporting financial negotiations with key partners, preparing financial statements and reporting, regularly communicating business performance with multiple stakeholders, eg. Team, partners and investors, utilizing analytical skills, finance management, pro-actively addressing financial concerns, and providing strategic recommendations to improve business operations on an ongoing basis.

Given the work already completed on this front, we anticipate this contract will not require more than two days to complete by the skilled and experienced CFO we seek. We have an exciting project and a generous budget to secure the right applicant.

Business Qualifications

• C-suite financial executive with extensive industry-related strategic and operational knowledge
• Finance degree qualified and current industry-recognised qualifications eg. CPA or CFA certification.
• Working experience in preparing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting
• Current experience in and passion for film and television finance and distribution
• In-depth knowledge of the corporate network of key entities in the film and TV industry
• Gifted financial modelling capabilities, with emphasis on accurate input for projections and budgeting
• Experience in international corporate finance industry transaction logistics, regulation and compliance
• Skilled financial analysis to support business decision-making
• Sound understanding of international corporate structure logistics
• Sound knowledge of international financial markets

• Natural analytical and strategic strengths and enjoys contributing to identifying potential growth areas, structural advantages and pathways to maximise profitable revenue.
• A positive, personable energy that assists excellent communication and presentation skills
• A bold entrepreneurial spirit grounded by sharp business acumen and experience
• Experience in or deep understanding of start-up realities
• Enjoys both working remotely and working in person with the team sometimes
• Ability to travel to international locations from time to time to attend industry events and meetings
