aytm (“Ask Your Target Market”) is seeking an accomplished Fractional CFO to serve as a senior strategic advisor as the company prepares for its next stage of growth. With a strong finance function already managing daily operations and a mature finance infrastructure in place, the CFO’s primary mandate is strategic oversight, targeted optimization, and leadership. This role is ideal for a seasoned finance executive with experience guiding founder-led or bootstrapped companies through major milestones.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership & Executive-Level Guidance
- Serve as a key strategic advisor to the executive team on financial strategy, risk, value creation, and readiness.
- Stress-test strategy, budgets, long-range plans, and financial assumptions.
- Translate complex financial insights into actionable guidance for executive decision-making.
Mentorship & Leadership Support
- Mentor the VP, Finance on executive development, readiness, and strategic exposure.
- Coach the finance team on analytical capabilities and communication.
- Support leadership preparedness at major financial milestones.
Financial Operations Optimization
- Identify refinement opportunities within existing systems, processes, and reporting structures.
- Optimize forecasting models, scenario planning frameworks, and KPI dashboards.
- Enhance financial narratives and documentation to ensure audit-level rigor.
Readiness & Execution
- Lead end-to-end financial readiness for a future proofing and provide expert guidance.
- Oversee financial data storytelling, financial modeling and scenario planning.
- Partner with attorneys and advisors to optimize efficiency.
- Leverage a deep network of advisors & network to build relationships on behalf of the company.
- Translate SaaS and usage-based business model dynamics into compelling narratives.
Strategic Financial Planning & Value Creation
- Pressure-test revenue strategies, pricing models, and investment decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve margins, cash flow durability, and predictability.
- Evaluate SaaS pricing architectures including subscription, usage-based, and hybrid models.
- Benchmark pricing against industry standards and assess elasticity, margin impact, and monetization levers.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive finance leadership including CFO or senior VP Finance roles.
- Track record working with high growth, mid stage tech companies at key milestones.
- Expertise advising mid-market, founder-led, or bootstrapped companies.
- Extensive SaaS business model expertise including ARR/MRR mechanics, usage-based revenue, churn analytics, and cohort behavior.
- Ability to turn data into impactful storytelling.
- Proven ability to design or refine SaaS and usage-based optimization strategies.
- Highly connected within the finance ecosystem, with strong relationships with third parties.
- Advanced financial modeling, scenario planning, and performance analytics expertise.
- Exceptional communication and board-level presentation skills.
- Demonstrated success working fractionally while maintaining consistent, high-impact engagement.
- Ideally working with less than 3 companies at one time.
