About Us
We are a NY-based behavioral health practice providing virtual therapy and related services. We're focused on expanding our services, both into new areas like psychiatry, and growing into new states beyond NY.
We generate between $5MM - $10MM in annual revenue, and have 50 clinicians on the team.
About the Work
We're looking for a Fractional CFO to oversee our financial operations, provide strategic insight, and help us scale our behavioral health practice to new heights.
Specifically, you'll:
- Oversee all financial reporting, with a focus on accurate data, so we can properly track our key financial metrics
- Own forecasting, modeling, and budgeting for our growth plans
- Collaborate with and hold the RCM team accountable, establishing KPIs, reducing denials, and tightening collections across commercial and Medicaid payers
- Own financial consolidation across our MSO and professional entities, ensuring accurate, timely reporting that buyers and investors can trust
- Provide expertise on insurance-based revenue models
- Oversee the buildout of custom financial dashboards built on top of our data sources (Quickbooks, our EHR)
- This will likely require bringing in an external data engineering specialist to structure and move the data into a warehouse, hook up a BI tool (e.g. Looker), and more
- Prepare the organization for a successful exit in the next 3–5 years
We're expecting this to be a fractional role for about 10 - 15 hrs / week, with potential to scale upwards during M&A prep or other major initiatives.
About You
You MUST have:
- Played CFO, VP, Head of, etc. roles for other healthcare services businesses similar to our revenue size (around $5MM+)
- If you don't have healthcare services experience specifically (not SaaS experience), we won't be the right fit
- Significant experience with insurance-based revenue models and RCM teams
- Managed data engineering projects that build custom financial dashboards, working alongside data engineers
- Comfortable with an MSO structure and managing financials across entities
- A strong FP&A background
- Based anywhere in the USA only

- Behavioral health experience specifically
