The Company
Description: A rollup of home services businesses in the Southwest, working to consolidate under a single holding company and pursue additional acquisitions.
Stage & proof points:
- $50MM combined revenue
- Eight companies in the rollup
*NOTE: The hirer is a fractional staffing firm that is working with the rollup firm to help them find a Fractional CFO. You'll be sub-contracting through this staffing firm. The compensation listed is your expected take-home pay.
The Work Needed
Problem: The rollup is lacking the finance leadership needed to determine the best rollup strategy to bring these companies under one umbrella, and start acquiring more.
Specifically, you'll:
- Assess the current state of all eight companies
- Develop the rollup strategy
- Build a unified finance and accounting structure for the new holding company
- Help develop the strategy to acquire new home services businesses
- Prepare the company for a future acquisition, likely to a PE firm or strategic
- Work closely with ownership, and the Controllers at the different firms
About You
You MUST have:
- Been a CFO or equivalent for other rollups
- Significant experience in residential home services and trades - HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, etc.
- Experience acquiring other firms into a rollup
- Experience on the sell-side too, ideally selling a rollup
- Based in the USA only
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with the EOS framework
- Scaled a services business into new states, and dealt with associated regulations
