The Company
We're building a modern, multi-channel infusion pump to replace the outdated hardware hospitals rely on to deliver IV fluids, medications, and blood.
Stage & proof points:
- Raised a friends-and-family round
- Patent-pending hardware, and a functional UI built
- Founder is a professor and attending at one of the top 5 heart hospitals in the country
The Work
Our founder is a physician with an EE/CS background, not a business background. They're gearing up for a Seed fundraise and looking for a Fractional CFO to act as an experienced strategic partner to help lead these efforts.
Specifically, you'll:
- Lead our Seed fundraise, targeting $500K - $1MM
- Build the pitch deck, and help craft the story that goes into it
- Build our financial projections and other materials for the data room
- Help us shape our business model and better understand how we'll sell into our target market
- Join relevant investor calls
- Network us with capital providers in the medtech space, using your own connections
We think we'll need about 5 - 10 hrs per week of time, and looking to compensate around $5K / month to as high as $8K / month. We're also open to a bonus arrangement on successful fundraise.
About You
You MUST have:
- A CFO, COO, or similar Finance leader for other medical device startups
- Led medtech startups through early-stage funding rounds, where you were materially involved in the fundraising activity
- Hardware experience, ideally with FDA-regulated Class II devices
- Can be based anywhere, but your career must be in the US-based medtech industry, and you must have significant time zone overlap with EST
Nice-to-haves:
- A network of capital providers in medtech that you can activate
- Experience with insulin pumps, or with cardiology, orthopedics, neuro, or spine devices
