Position Overview:
The Fractional Certified Public Accountant (FCPA) serves as financial liaison between the CEO, Corporate Board of Directors, funding sources, and financial institutions. The FCPA manages the financial resources for the Organization, including accounting, finance, organizational budgets, investments, and treasury in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. The FCPA provides oversight of funding, contracts, policies/procedures, and safeguards assets through the maintenance of proper internal controls. The FCPA possesses a strong background in overall fiscal management and strategic fiscal leadership skills.
Duties include fiscal management and oversight, including but not limited to:
- Provide oversight to the Fiscal team
- Oversee the monthly close processes, review account reconciliations and estimates
- Review of revenue and expense project coding
- Preparing financial Statements
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Update forecast and budget modules
- Assist with tax preparation and coordinate with tax advisers
- Prepare annual budgets
- Assist leadership with strategic planning and forecasting
- Assist with due diligence activities and requests
- Prepare financial reports for board meetings
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- 10 years of progressive experience
- Experience in Managed Care, nonprofit cost accounting, and federal funding is preferred
